Why We Love This Tutorial:
We love the idea of a front closure using a carabiner – it means you can swap out the pendant for something else; an initial charm maybe? Or perhaps no pendant at all?! Garnet and pearl is such a classic combination, and the touch of light pink in the Rose Quartz pendant adds that trendy 2026 touch 😀
Beads and Materials You’ll Need (product name is clickable):
- 4mm Garnet Round Beads (we used less than one strand)
- Blister freshwater Pearls (we used less than one strand)
- Locking Crimps Beads (aka Lollipop Crimps)
- 2x Bail Beads
- 64x 4mm 18K Gold Plated Wheel Beads (2 bags is enough)
- Rhinestone Carabiner
- Rose Quartz Heart Pendant
- Tigertail (we used gold)
Tools You’ll Need:
- Flat Nose Pliers (for locking crimp)
- Scissors (for cutting tigertail).
Method:
- Take a length of tigertail and cut it to about 50cm. We have used a locking crimp to secure the ends of these bracelets. We have also used bail beads as the ‘loops’ that attach onto the carabiner – this makes putting the necklace on and off easier! Pop on the locking crimp, and simply thread your tigertail up and through the small loop on the bail bead. Then, take your tigertail back around and through the locking crimp and push in the button on your locking crimp using flat nose pliers (if you haven’t used a locking crimp before, this tutorial shows you how to!).The image below shows the bail bead in use.

- Thread on your beads. We have used 4mm gold wheel spacers between each bead.

- To finish, slide on a locking crimp and bail bead as you did previously.

- Open the carabiner and slide on the ends of the necklace via the bail beads, plus the Rose Quartz heart pendant (if using!).

- And you’re done!
