Why we love this tutorial:
Here’s another lovely memory wire bracelet… I love making memory wire bracelets – simply thread on your beads, loop the ends, and you’re done! As with almost all of our tutorials, you could make this bracelet using totally different coloured beads – the key is to find a few strands of beads that look good together, group them into sections on the memory wire, and use metal spacers to space them apart.
Beads and Materials You’ll Need (products are clickable):
- Various Gemstone Beads (we have used the following):
- Rose Gold Spacers (various designs; availability will vary but anything small in the 4mm to 6mm size works well).
- Rose Gold Tree of Life Charm
- 4mm Jump Rings in Rose Gold
- Rose Gold Memory Wire
Tools You’ll Need:
- Round Nose Pliers
- Cutting Pliers
Method:
- Cut your memory wire to you desired number of loops. Our bracelet has five full loops. Form a small loop in one end of the memory wire using your round nose pliers.
- Thread on your beads! Although we have put our beads on fairly randomly, there is some method to the madness! We have grouped the beads together, mostly in lots of 3 or 5. The larger beads (like the 10mm or 8mm) have a 4mm wheel spacer between each bead. And each section is separated with a 4mm wheel spacer. But these are just examples – you may design your groups in anyway that you fancy.
- Finally, after all of your beads are on the wire, form a loop at the other end using your round nose pliers. Your loop will require about 0.8cm of clear wire.
- Make the charm dangle (we have just used one charm on one end in this design). Simple take a 4mm jump ring, open it up using pliers, and attach to the loop on your charm. Attach this to the closed loop at the end of your bracelet.
