Yooperlite (aka Flame Stone) Gemstone Round Beads – 6mm [strand]

Full strand of natural (and super-cool!) Yooperlite gemstone beads, in a polished round 6mm shape. Yooperlite is a type of fluorescent sodalite found in a grey, granite-like host rock. Under normal light, it appears grey or speckled, but when exposed to UV light, it glows with brilliant orange or fiery amber patterns (hence the common name of ‘Flame Stone’ – see the photo below!). Named after where it was discovered, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (“Yooper” region).

Yooperlite Meaning and Uses: Expression, Transformation & Inner Fire
Metaphysically, Yooperlite is thought to combine the stabilising qualities of sodalite with the fiery spark of transformation. The glowing patterns within the stone symbolise the light within us; reminding us of our ability to shine through fear or uncertainty.

Physically, Yooperlite has been linked to supporting the throat and vocal cords, in line with its sodalite base. It’s also thought to help regulate metabolism, ease inflammation, and energise the body. Some use it to relieve fatigue or tension, drawing on its symbolic connection to fire and vitality.
