Amazonite Chips & Rhodonite Long Necklace

amazonite chip beads and rhodonite necklace

Why We Love This Tutorial:

This is a simply strung, long necklace that you can complete in less than an hour! We would often knot between each gemstone bead with this style of necklace, but by using tiny 15/0 seed beads we get the same effect with a lot less effort (and time, yay!). We have used some of our always-popular gemstone chips, and some 8mm round gemstones. We have also used one of our ready made tassels – you could make it yourself, but this way is much quicker!

Beads and Materials You’ll Need:

Tools You’ll Need:

  • Flat Nose pliers (for crimping)
  • Scissors (for cutting tiger tail – never use pliers for this!)

Method:

  1. This one’s pretty easy! Simply string all of your beads onto the tigertail in your desired pattern, using a 15/0 seed bead as a spacer between each bead.
  2. When you get to the middle point, go down through your daisy spacer, feature bead and another daisy. Then, push the tigertail through the top string that ties the tassel together (you will need to trim this long string afterwards). Keep in mind that tassels vary, so you may choose to attach your tassel some other way.
  3. Go back up through the daisy spacer, feature bead, second daisy then continue stringing as before.
  4. Finish off your necklace using crimps, clamshells and the clasp of your choice.
  5. And that’s it! Super simple 🙂
