Stretchy Carnelian and Turquoise Bracelet

This delicate, pastel design uses a mix of nugget, potato and coin freshwater pearls. We’ve also thrown in a few 8mm rose quartz gemstone beads to add a touch of pink. You can make this necklace on an existing chain (like we have), or you can make a chain yourself.

We are still playing with braiding! This was originally going to be a simple multi-strand necklace, but we couldn’t help ourselves 😉 We wanted to see how the braid would turn out with some little 15/0 seed beads between each gemstone. We kinda like it!

Step 1. First, make the coiled bead sections. For this project, we’ll be using a coiling gizmo. Take about two meters of 24 gauge wire and using the smallest coil bar, make a coil about 12cm long (the whole length of the coil bar). Slide this coil onto a piece of 18ga wire 2cm longer…

I can’t stop playing with this fine chain! This time I’ve come up with a cute turquoise and jasper bracelet – although it’s actually just one long strand, so you could also wear it as a necklace. The chain is approx. 80cm long.
