Class Name: Easy Mala with DIY Tassel Class
Class Date: 11am, Saturday 11th October (please come 30 minutes early to select your beads).
Location: My Beads 66 Deagon Street, Sandgate 4017

Description: This will be a super fun, very chilled-out class in which you’ll make a long 108 bead Mala-style necklace. This is an easy (aka cheat’s!) Mala, as we will be stringing onto tigertail and not knotting between the beads. And the best part?! You’ll almost certainly finish this piece in class time. You’ll also be learning to make your own tassel, which is a super handy skill to have.

Class takes approximately 1.5 hours. Please come at least 30 minutes early to select your beads with the assistance of the class instructor, Rebecca. See you then!

Please read the following booking information carefully, as by purchasing this class you are agreeing to the following conditions.

Class Cost:  $50.00 per person.

  • This $50 class payment covers the $15 class fee, and comes with a credit of $35 to use on the day of the class towards your beads.
  • This $35 is to be used on the day of the class, and cannot be saved for a later date.  Any unused credit will be forfeited.
  • The credit can be used to purchase any items in store, but cannot be used to pay for a future class or to purchase gift cards.

Important Booking Info: Please note, your spot is not secured until payment is received.

  • If payment has not been received within 48 hours of purchasing this class, we will automatically cancel your booking.
  • For this reason, classes must be paid for by credit card at the time of ordering (through PayPal), OR by credit card over the phone (please call 07 3869 0880 9am to 4pm weekdays; 9am to 2pm Saturday).
  • Our website considered this class a ‘virtual product’, so you will not be charged shipping on checkout. Please do not purchase any physical items (e.g. beads) with your class order, as it will confuse our booking system and your spot may not be secured. We kindly ask that if you wish to make an online order for beads, please make a separate order.
  • If you wish to book into more than one class, it is fine to add multiple classes to your order.
  • Once we have received your payment, we will complete your order and you will receive a confirmation email. This is the same automated email we send regularly for our internet orders, so it may say your order has been shipped… please ignore that!
  • We will text you the Friday before the class to remind you that you are booked in.

General Class Info:

  • Skill Level: Our classes are designed for adults, with beginner (and beyond) skill level. Almost all of our classes are suitable for people with beginner level skills (i.e. little to no beading skills!). We will explain every step of the design carefully and ensure you can keep up.
  • Children 16 and under may attend, but must be accompanied by a paying adult. Please ensure the child has the skill level to attempt the class, to avoid disappointment.
  • Non-attendees (Carers/Parents/Onlookers): Our classes are kept very small, with a strict limit of 6 participants. We generally do book out, so unfortunately we do not have room for extra chairs at the table for parents/carers/onlookers. If a carer is required to attend the class, the carer must also purchase one of our six spots in the class for our regular class fee.
  • Finishing the piece: Classes are very much about teaching you the techniques used in the particular design for that week, rather than leaving with a finished piece. You may or may not finish your design in class, but you will certainly leave with the knowledge and skills to finish it at home. We generally state in the description of the class if you are unlikely to finish in the hour and a half.

Cancellations

  • Class fees ($50) are non-refundable if notice is not given prior to 48 hours of the class being held. By purchasing this class you are agreeing to our terms and conditions, as explained on our workshops page (click here).
