Leopardskin Jasper is a distinctive gemstone, known for its characteristic earthy brown and burnt orange spots. For this reason, it is sometimes also called ‘Jaguar Stone’. Being a sedimentary stone made up from various minerals, Leopardskim Jasper will often polish in a somewhat irregular way (as different sections of the stone have varying levels of hardness). This gives the stone a somewhat ‘rough’ look. This natural appearance is typical of Leopardskin jasper and simply adds to its charm!
